02.12 1st BEST Ladies Day!

So EXCITING!!!

BEST Center's first Ladies Day for the Christian sisters here in Phnom Penh was wonderful! Every single part seemed to be just perfect!

Our 3 guest speakers were: Shirley Downey, speaking on Ruth, Sandy Jackson speaking on Mary (the mother of Jesus), and Nita Mansholt speaking on Peace. Each lesson was obviously prepared carefully and seemed perfect for the culture here. A special, special thanks to these 3 ladies who made the day excellent! Can you believe Nita, giving such an incredible lesson on how to have peace in our lives...87 years of experience and wisdom! What a blessing to listen to all three!

Ronda Dolan, my sister, spent weeks working on the 3 speakers lessons getting them translated. She did ALL the translating...wow....that is a HUGE job and she did great! It was so fun to watch her; I was so proud!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then our baby Khmer Christians did the entire program, I mean EVERYTHING else:
Sreyleak: welcome, leading singing, praying
Avy: Introducing Ronda and Shirley, praying, planning, preparing, and cooking the snack and meal
Chamreoun: Prayer
Vandy: 1st closing and explaining about our mid-morning break
Theary: Singing, closing of entire event, prayer
Khay: sign-in, introduction of Sandy
Monorea: introduction of Nita
Thy: (agreed to do the sign-in, but had to come late that day...I was excited she had agreed anyway!)

Then Ronda had lined up Navy and the CBI students (the girls) to do the scripture readings during the ladies' talks, so they were all involved, too!

Plus we had a great turn-out of the sisters from the Phnom Penh church!

42 ladies signed in and Ida counted 45 ladies. It was so, so, so encouraging and uplifting. I wish all of you could have seen our young sisters standing up there laughing and saying how scared they were to talk. I wish we were as bold and willing! They were amazing, most of all their attitudes and spirit of WANTING to have a part was heart-warming and uplifting!
You just should have been here!
